On Wednesday, the Tampa bay Rays, let by Belt holder Alex Cobb squared off against Cleveland and starter Josh Tomlin. It didn’t go great for one of them.
In seven innings, Cobb allowed six hits, three runs, one walk, and struck out seven, good for a game score of 66. Tomlin, on the other hand, pitched two and one-third innings, allowing seven hits, six runs, no walks, while striking out five. That’s a game score of 15.
It was a pretty normal outcome for Tomlin, who now hoists a 6.86 ERA this season, while Cobb is at a respectable 3.67.
Tampa Bay won 7–4.
Cobb’s next start comes at home vs Anaheim, who will likely start Matt Shoemaker.
