NG Baseball’s Mock Hall Of Fame Voting

20 of our writers submitted what their ballots would look like if asked by the BBWAA to vote.

Our writers were limited to 10 players per ballot, although not all 10 needed to be filled in. 15 votes out of 20 would give a player 75%, which is the necessary percent to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Eight players reached the 75% mark:

Chipper Jones (100%), Jim Thome (95%), Larry Walker (95%), Edgar Martinez (90%), Vlad Guerrero (80%), Barry Bonds (75%), Roger Clemens (75%), and Mike Mussina (75%)

It appears as though Chipper Jones, Jim Thome, and Vlad Guerrero will all reach the 75% threshold in the BBWAA vote, and Trevor Hoffman (who got a mere 40% in our mock voting) likely will as well. Edgar Martinez looks to fall within 1 or 2 percentage points either way of the 75, although it’s too early to tell which side that will be.

Who do you believe deserves to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame?
