Daniel Mengden to Miss Time Due to Shoulder Surgery

Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle announced today that A’s pitcher Daniel Mengden underwent successful arthroscopic elbow surgery on Monday. The right hander, who had a 4.83 ERA and 4.69 FIP in 59.2 innings in 2019, was likely going to be competing for a bullpen spot this Spring Training. There is no timetable for his return currently.
